Front of House

Our front of house team are the service professionals who deliver the Amisfield food and wine experience to our guests in the Bistro. 

Our signature Trust The Chef degustation menu – a 3 to 7 course gastronomic lunch or dinner experience, is designed to be matched with a selection of our famous wines.

Providing a genuine and authentic dining experience is second nature, and leaving our guests feeling that there’s no better place anywhere in the world to be at that moment is their passion.

Kitchen

Amisfield Bistro is a two hatted winery restaurant and the recipient of awards for both Best New Zealand Dish and Innovation at the 2018 Cuisine Good Food Awards.

Under the direction of our Executive Chef, Vaughan Mabee, the team delivers fresh, seasonal produce that celebrates our bountiful region and its unique flavours.

Vineyard

Set against the backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is one of the largest single estate vineyards in Central Otago.  

Our first vines were planted in 1999 and they continue to thrive in this continental climate with its cold winters, hot summers and low rainfall.

Our simple philosophy is to nurture nature at every step and our hands-off approach means that our process takes time, with our wines yielding exceptional purity, intensity and vibrancy.

Winery

On the journey to organic certification, our philosophy is to nurture nature at every step and yield wines with exceptional purity, intensity and vibrancy.

With a bold form of pure function and its distinctive sloping roof echoing the mountains behind it, Amisfield's modern winery sits harmoniously against the backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range.

Designed by Christchurch architect Charlie Nott in 2006, the two-storey facility has a 600-tonne production capacity.  Here our winery team conduct their intricate craft then let nature take its course.
