At Amisfield, whether you’re a seasoned local or from halfway around the globe, we pride ourselves on taking guests out of their culinary comfort zone. There’s an element of surprise in everything we bring to the table.
Our ‘Trust the Chef’ experience, made up of multiple smaller courses with some designed for sharing is the perfect way to take a leap of faith. It has been Amisfield’s signature menu since the Bistro opened in 2005.
Amisfield’s Executive Chef, Vaughan Mabee maintains that our food is pure and simple, but never simplistic. After a stint in San Sebastian, Spain, at a three-star Michelin restaurant Vaughan gained a coveted position in Copenhagen, Denmark, where his extraordinary skills were recognised at Restaurant Noma, the two-star Michelin phenomenon.
‘I’m passionate about sourcing quality New Zealand produce and then creating elegant dishes to complement our wines in the Bistro’, says Vaughan.

We offer a one-of-a-kind setting for corporate functions and private events. Our hire options include exclusive dinner hire and full day venue hire (dependent on time of year).
Our evening private hire rates start with a $5,000 minimum spend on food and beverage.
Our full day hire rates start at $10,000 venue hire and a $10,000 minimum spend on food and beverage.
For seated functions, our Bistro seats 65 throughout the dining areas.
Using a marquee to utilise our outdoor courtyard, we can seat 110.
For standing functions we can accommodate 120.
