Produced using a small amount of whole bunches (5%) and a wild fermentation, the 2013 Pinot Noir offers a pale to medium ruby-purple color and beautiful perfume of ripe cherries, black raspberries and roses with underlying dark chocolate and cinnamon hints. Medium bodied with tons of red berry and baking spice flavors, it has a medium level of silky tannins and a long complex finish. The best, most promising Amisfield Pinot I’ve tasted, this wine is to be released in 2 years.

A silken-textured Pinot Noir, with a strong floral, violet and thyme component along with dark cherry, spice and smoky oak characters. Quite an elegant and restrained style, with a structure of fine tannins that suggest it will age reasonably well.
